Why waiting to purchase a home doesn’t pay off in the long run.

Should you wait to purchase a home? Many would-be buyers want to sit out of the market until interest rates come down, but is that a good idea?

If you check out the graph at 0:38 in the video, you’ll see that since 1947, there have only been seven years when real estate values have decreased overall. This means that betting on your home increasing in value is a safe choice, but it also means that waiting to buy could cost you. Every year you hold off becoming a homeowner, you’re missing out on appreciation and equity.

Many of us have 401Ks or money in the stock market, but the truth is that real estate often outpaces the stock market as an investment. Even in a market that’s as tough as this one, it pays long-term to get in on the ground floor.
